@japocalypse Well, I’m not going to argue with you, because I was in the underground world for sometime. As for the SMT being easily hacked, I know that isn’t fully true. There was only three people who had the hack for the P3 for over two years, before cards could be loaded, for a fee and that was in Canada. I live in the US, and I was one of the three.

Anyways, since them days, (I still have some good ole friends). I have moved on to more, very important things. Like trying to save this once fine Republic.

@Cruisingfool Well, having been around since the days of IRC, Gopher and Undernet, I disagree. Yes, those hacks aren’t the easiest thing to do, but its nothing awe inspiring. Besides, that really isn’t my point, like I said above. My point is, they are getting away with it when Echelon could easily find out who they were.

The real problem with Anonymous is that it fits the bill of a controlled opposition group. Hacking a few public utility websites is of no use and was most likely some kids that thought they where “Anonymous”.

Gary McKinnon had very little computer experience (definitely no hacking skills) was able to access internal documents at NASA and was found quite quickly. While we may never know exactly how they found him, I would think Echelon or its heir was utilized.And yes, I am well aware of Video Cipher and SMT. Both of which, I might add, where easily hacked. Just sayin’….

@japocalypse I tend to disagree with you. Having been in the computer industry from the very beginning, what they just took down was no easy task. I agree they might be able to nab a few of them, but this organization is from all around the world. Just to give you an example, do you ever remember the Video Cipher? Or the Smart Card Technology? I was heavily experienced in those very issues, and my connections were not just from the good ole USA!

@Cruisingfool I’ve read it and it does not change my perspective. Fact is, all we are seeing from this “elite” hackers group is very basic hacking. Besides, the important part isn’t who they are attacking, its the fact that Echelon is listening, so if those in control wanted to nab them they would already know who they are. Its all a dog and pony show.
