Earthquake In Bering Sea

Washington, May 1: A 6.3 magnitude earthquake was reported in the Bering Sea on Friday, Apr 30.

According to the US Geological Survey (USGS) the temblor hit 294 miles (473 km) southwest of Gambell, Alaska, and near Russia’s far east, at a depth of 9.4 miles (15 km).

Officials in Alaska said that the quake was not felt.

The temblor also failed to prompt any watch, warning or advisory from the West Coast and Alaska Tsunami Warning Center.
